An employee with a medical condition puts them at an increased risk for developing complications from COVID-19 (i.e., a vulnerable employee). According to company policy, vulnerable employees are allowed to work from the safety of their home. The MIOSHA Emergency Rule for COVID-19 states "employer shall create a policy prohibiting in-person work for employees to the extent that their work activities can feasibly be completed remotely". From March 2020 to July 2020 and again from November 2020 to December 2020 this employee worked remotely.
