Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at Hillsborough, 395 Amwell Rd, Hillsborough, NJ 08844, USA

5 years ago business

395 Amwell Road, Hillsborough Township, 08844 New Jersey, United States

To 'combat' corono virus the maintenance dept has given a battery-powered backpack tank mister filled with Ecolab 'Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner', EPA Reg. No 47371-129-1677. I see it sprayed into the air, sprayed onto my coworkers water bottle. It takes my breath away when they spray in near me. I had a nursing resident tell me she cannot breath when they spray it in her room (she has COPD). Misting or fogging disinfectants is 'infective and potentially harmful' according to CDC and WHO and I wrote this in a message to the woman in charge of infection control which has not stopped it. I called NJ Dept of health hotline and I was told that 'it is not harmful if I am not coughing'. If I confront management directly they will simply fire me. I dont hate the place I work, I just need them to quit this practice which is dangerous to both workers and patients, 15 of whom have the covid 19 respiratory infection and one just died.
