Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, EDMONDS SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION, 20601 52nd Ave. W., LYNNWOOD, WA, 98036, USA

4 years ago business

20601 52nd Avenue West, Lynnwood, 98036 Washington, United States

They are using a chemical to clean the inside of the buses, Zep Triton 20-GL, and the employees have not had any training at all on how to use it. Bus drivers have to use it after every run, that is 3 times a day. They spray it and then they wipe it down. For PPE they provided plastic gloves, cheap safety glasses and regular safety masks instead of N-95 masks as indicated on the product's safety instructions. Also, the product says there should be an eyewash station or emergency shower near where it's been used and there is none of that near the buses. It's a flammable product and they store the product in the storage compartment of the buses where is exposed to static and electricity. They have been using this product since September of 2020. They also said they are going to put another adult in the buses to ride along with the driver and the children. Some of the buses are too small and there is no room to allow another person in the bus and keep the required social distancing.
