Marathon Petroleum's Detroit Refinery is in violation of Michigan OSHA's COVID Emergency Rules, specifically Rule 5 Part 8. At the start of the pandemic, Marathon Detroit had all non essential employees working remotely, either in their entirety or on a rotating schedule in and out of the office. On February 22, 2021, management mandated that nearly 100% of all employees had to be back in the office full time (despite their ability to perform work remotely). There has no written or verbal communication explaining the infeasibility of continued remote work.
