Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Redford Service Learning Academy, 25940 Grand River Ave, REDFORD, MI, 48240, USA

4 years ago business

25940 Grand River Avenue, Redford Charter Township, 48240 Michigan, United States

1. There has been several confirmed COVID cases at this location. After each confirmed case the maintenance team did normal routine building cleaning. Our maintenance team has been out of COVID cleaning products for months. So each time they clean, it is with normal disinfection products. The owner refuses to close the building and have the entire building cleaned for COVID 19, even after several confirmed staff, students & families have been exposed and ill with covid in the building. There has has only cleaned room by room even though the entire building has been exposed. There have been students who have been exposed with siblings throughout the building in other grades and classes, but only certain classes are being closed and cleaned. The school has been closed for a week with no teachers, no students yet the building remains open for certain employees to come into the exposed building that hasn't been properly cleaned 2. The HR team has failed to inform all staff of possible exposure or to take extra precautions for our own safety. 3. They have allowed the teachers the option to work from home for safety but have not allowed any of the other employees the same respect. Certain employees have been told that they are not allowed the option to work from home for their safety. 4. Each time there is a COVID case there has been no plan of action on keeping employees safe. Management plays everything by ear. Several staff have suggested closing the building. 5. All staff, students, and visitors come in and out of the same door. There are staff who go from location to location in the district cross contaminating eachbuilding for meetings or visits. 6. They have allowed employees to stay in the building sick and under the weather even after staff has been urged to stay home if sick. 7. Students barely keep their mask on throughout the day. They have to constantly be told to keep their mask on, and some students still refuse.
