Safety Report: Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, MSU Health Care Inc - Clinical Center (General Radiology), 804 Service Rd, EAST LANSING, MI, 48824, USA

Regulatory Report

804 Service Road, East Lansing, 48824 Michigan, United States

1) There is a lack of procedural guidelines to enforce mask use at Michigan State University (MSU) MRI. A patient not wearing a mask in a public changing room or at a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner is a violation of the State, City, Campus, and department policies. The confusion and lack of proper documentation prevents the employees to uphold this policy. Both patients and coworkers have not adhered to the posted mask policy. 2) There is a lack of documentation that can be shared with patients to uphold the Covid-19 mask mandate. MSU MRI has not provided employees with mandated Covid-19 policies in writing opening the employees up to a hostile work environment. Employees who try and enforce the mask policy are verbally assaulted by patients who refused to wear a mask correctly or at all. Although signs are posted in public areas on campus, they are not posted in dressing rooms or on the door to the scan rooms. 3) Temperature checks did not begin until the end of June. Due to the lack of procedural guidelines at MSU MRI, multiple employees have tested positive with no exposure guidelines for additional employees who worked alongside.
