1. Employees in the Public Works department are concerned about exposure to coronavirus/covid-19. The employer has many employees working from home, but employees in this department have been deemed essential and required to work. The employer is not taking steps to protect these employees. 2. On March 16, the employer had someone taking employees' temperatures before work, but this person was not wearing gloves or a mask. And, employees are concerned since coworkers could carry the virus without having a fever. 3. The supervisor has not been to work for two weeks, and is unreachable. This has put a strain on employees who are working and are unable to seek guidance, etc. 4. Employees feel that the employer is not following the guidance issued by the governor or OSHA regarding social distancing and other protective steps. 5. Employees believe that having one or more of them on-call would be sufficient to accomplish the duties of the department while protecting employees.
