Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, HOME DEPOT INC THE, 2701 Utah Ave S, SEATTLE, WA, 98134, USA

4 years ago business

2701 Utah Avenue South, Seattle, 98134 Washington, United States

1 . I brought concerns of an associate who was on the clock and was profusely coughing and clearing his throat. Due to the state of the world right now with coronavirus. 2. The Home Depot installed safety measures like temperature checks and health check questionnaires. 3. After bringing up the concern's, I was told the associate passed the health check and they couldn't do anything about it (noting the health check asks if you have symptoms of any kind) which is when management suggested he may have a cold after acknowledging the associate completed and passed the health check. 4. You cannot clock in unless your pass the health check however, they seem fine with associates falsifying the health check and see if they're actually sick. 5. I immediately left the building and reported the handling of the situation with upper management. 6. Everyone in the building at the time could've been exposed and my managers didn't care, they kept the sick associate on the floor with everyone else. 7. Upper management responded saying it was a coachable moment. People lives could've been in danger and they did nothing to alleviate the anxieties of the looming corvid 19 pandemic.
