T8CCR 3203(a) - There are no shields among patient and employee (technicians) in the camera area. Employees are in close contact (12 inches) with patient during the picture taken; exposure time with each patient can go from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. In many occasions, patients are not wearing facemask. Each employee sees around 36 patients per day. Employer does not enforce the use of the mask on patients. Waiting room area and hallways held patients for long times (up to 5 hours) while waiting for their appointments. There are no signs posted to maintain physical distance of 6 feet in all directions. Usually patients move the chairs around to sit closer than 6 feet. There are no measures to maintain physical distance inside the camera rooms. The distance between workstations (cameras) is less than 4 feet and there are no physical barriers between them. Normally there are two technicians and four patients at any given time in the same room with inadequate ventilation. Windows cannot be opened to improve the air circulation in the room. Employer does not communicate when an employee is exposed to a positive COVID-19 case. An employee tested positive and employer did not report the coworkers who were exposed. Employees do not want to know the name of the COVID-19 positive employee, they just want to know when they are exposed to somebody who tested positive.
