'- Employees exposed to COVID-19 by a coworker and are not being provided testing or time to quarantine from the employer without fear of losing their jobs. The employee has been symptomatic and at work for 4-5 days, since last Thurs 10/1 or Fri 10/2. Employee has had to remain at work since then despite talking with office staff about concerns about illness and staying home. Employee went to the office to talk to them last week about staying home, but they told the employee that they could not stay home without penalty so the employee continued to come to work. The employee has now tested positive for COVID-19. - Administration has now notified employees that they have been exposed to COVID-19 and possibly by one other employee as well, but are not offering testing to employees and are not allowing people who worked near them to stay home from work to quarantine without penalty or fear of losing their jobs. Attendance is based on a points system, and a point is received for each unexcused absence. Past a certain number of points, people are fired. When people have inquired about quarantining, they have been told they will receive points for days missed.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-10-07
