Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Hi-Tec Building Services, 8587 Pennfield Road, Battle Creek, MI 49017, USA

8587 Pennfield Road, Battle Creek, 49017 Michigan, United States

1. Dunlap Elementary has been without heat since the school shut down because of COVID-19. There are three custodial employees on site during the day, one of them being 87 years old. The building is cold and damp, entirely too cold to perform our duties as specified by our boss. Nothing is done about the issue. Employees have to wear winter coats and hats while inside. Employees are expected to run to the cafeteria to get warm, which has a separate heating system than the rest of the school. 2. Employees are exposed to those without masks and employees were only offered masks as of two weeks ago. We are now being forced to work with others whom we have no contact with any other time. 3. Employees are being made to continue to work in poor conditions while performing summer work, that could be done when things become less hazardous and a bit warmer outside, and pushed to work in other buildings with others who do not observe mask wearing, social distancing, and gatherings of any size.
