Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, SANDERSON FARMS - Processing Division, 4039 RIVER RIDGE ROAD, SUMMIT, MS, 39666, USA

4 years ago business

4039 River Ridge Road, Summit, 39666 Mississippi, United States

The following workplace conditions raise concerns about the potential for employee illness(es) related to potential exposure to SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2), the virus causing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19): The facility has not implemented appropriate controls in response to potential exposures of COVID-19 throughout the plant. These include: 1. Employees who have taken the COVID-19 test are not required to quarantine, while awaiting test results. 2. Employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 are allowed to return to work without a negative test result. Employees who have tested positive have been allowed back on site after two days. 3. Employees receive a temperature check prior to entry into the facility. If the temperature is elevated, they are instructed to return to their car, and sit with the AC on until they cool off, or to drink something cold, and return for another test. 4. Employees sweating heavily and with elevated temperature (fever) are allowed to enter facility, and work. 5. The employer is not disinfecting the facility. 6. The employer is not enforcing social distancing. Employees are allowed to crowd into the break area and face coverings not required. 7. Work-related fatalities and hospitalizations are not recorded on the OSHA 300 logs.
