1. Interstate Manufacturing has decided part way through the stay at home order that the work was essential, even though employees are just building regular consumer units. Vice President states we are building essential morgue government trailers even though this is false and none of those morgue units are being manufactured at this time. 2. Employees were promised temperature checks on everyone entering and it is not being done. 3. They have had sick employees working and one had to leave due to illness. Employees asked the plant manager if the parts made by the sick employee should be tossed and remade since the items could not be cleaned or disinfected. The plant manager refused to give an answer to employees. 4. Interstate manufacturing vice president threatened employees on the main line with firing without pay for not wearing masks then allowed the options department not to wear masks for the first day back until enough people from the line complained. The line receives their parts from multiple departments and with allowing options not to wear masks would put the line employees at a higher risk due to cross contamination.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-05-06
