Regulatory Report
807 Union Street, Schenectady, 12308 New York, United States
'- On 1/19/2021 it was reported to employees (who arrived at work at Dutch Hollow in Union College this morning) that they were exposed to a coworker infected with COVID-19. They were sent home in a haphazard fashion; some employees (the receiver on campus, as well as all employees in the campus pizza station) who were exposed to him were required to stay and work. Meanwhile, his specific unit, Dutch Hollow, was closed until 5 PM for cleaning. No communication from leadership, no communication to those workers who operated in close proximity to him for long periods of time, no direct steps taken to protect the health of workers and students other than cleaning Dutch Hollow. Meanwhile, the director has stated that Dutch Hollow will remain open until members of the night shift are infected/test positive, against the wishes of other management figures. The infected employee works nights on a weekly basis. This registers as an attempt by a corporate entity to sidestep COVID-19 issues in an attempt to drive profit, and creates a potentially unsafe work environment for both employees and students.Alleged Hazards: 1, Employees Exposed: 1
