Several Sound Transit bus operators are concerned about the new front door boarding without a shield or at least 6' social distancing to protect the operators from passengers without masks. Management will not allow operators to deny riders without masks. Also King County is providing bus operators KN95 masks which fall apart easily and they are not provided replacements within the same shift. One operator mentioned receiving an extra small which didn't fit and the glue didn't hold so it didn't last the full shift. Operators are also wondering why the prepaid system cannot be utilized so that riders can scan their card at the stop, prior to boarding in the back of the bus.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-07-01
