930 Old Steese Highway, Fairbanks, 99701 Alaska, United States

Fred Meyer East uses an industrial strength cleaner as part of their sanitation process. This cleaner is corrosive and an inhalation hazard. It is not food safe and needs Haz-Mat training to be safely used. Workers are not trained in the proper procedures for using this cleaner. A diluted solution is used a the check stand conveyors. Customers pick up cross contamination from this chemical on check stand conveyors. This is at the front end check stands and customer bathrooms.
