November 18, 2020 Health: 1. Employees are exposed to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no negative pressure room and there are multiple COVID-19 positive patients on bipap, producing aerosolization of the virus. Nurse workspaces are less than six feet from each ICU room and doors do not close fully. Staff is not provided with adequate time to be removed from the area for mask breaks. In order to remain protected employees must wear an N95 or PAPR for 12 hours or greater with no break. Proper size of PPE is not available. All ICU staff is susceptible to this as well as all ancillary staff. Multiple staff infections reported.
