Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Oakview Ventures, LLC, 1133 N. 3rd Street, TECUMSEH, NE, 68450, USA

5 years ago business

1133 North 3rd Street, Tecumseh, 68450 Nebraska, United States

The facility has an incidence rate of over 75% of Covid positive residents from 10/15/2020 to 10/25/2020. While the appropriate PPE is available, more times than not it is not used appropriately as per infection control protocols to prevent the transmission of Covid. At least 7, if not more employees have tested positive for Covid, including those with limited to no patient contact such as the dietary manager, dietary aides, staff scheduler, and administrator. A recent Nebraska DHHS survey has identified less than satisfactory compliance with infection control protocols. N95 masks were reused for up to a week on "clean" units. HCW's entered and exited the Covid unit after passing through the "clean" unit despite an entrance door is located at the north side of the building leading directly to the Covid unit. Nursing staff were observed wearing the same PPE from room to room without doffing used PPE, washing hands and donning unused PPE. Contaminated trash is placed in open garbage cans. "Clean" areas become contaminated by staff by their failure to follow proper infection control protocols, placing other residents and employees at risk.
