The employer is not following CDC guidelines regarding cleaning and sanitizing work areas, high touch surfaces throughout the store, and the thermometer used for employee screening when employees have tested positive for COVID-19. ( Applicable OSHA Standard: Section 5(a)(1) of the OSHA Act) 3. The employer is not following CDC guidelines regarding waiting for the full quarantine period before an employee who tested positive for COVID-19 is allowed to return to work. (Applicable OSHA Standard: Section 5(a)(1) of the OSHA Act) 4. The plexiglass to protect employees from contact with others is not properly installed at the employee cashier checkout and other areas where employees serve customers where it is not an effective barrier.
