Heartland is threatening to fire people that need to quarantine due to Covid-19 exposure. They are using a 48 hour window, saying that if you weren't exposed in the last 48 hours, that you have to go to work or you are fired. That is nonsense. There is no window. If you have been directly exposed, as a close contact, to a known positive Covid person, you are to quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure. Period. There's no gray area here. This was no exposure through a 3rd person or some low chance risk. This was direct hugging and kissing of a child who has been confirmed positive. They are strong arming people that they know cannot afford to lose their job in the middle of a pandemic. I personally know someone that called into the office and explained their exposure and need to quarantine, and was told no. Heartland forced them to go to work today, fully knowing that their own employee could be potentially exposing hundreds of other people.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-11-23
