Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, IL Dept. of Human Services - Elizabeth Ludeman Center, 114 North Orchard Drive, PARK FOREST, IL, 60466, USA

5 years ago business

114 North Orchard Drive, Park Forest, 60466 Illinois, United States

This facility is forcing employees who are on light duty and reassignment to be in one room with anywhere from 10 to 25 people for the duration of their 8 hour shift. At times there is no way to practice social distancing to lessen the spread of Covid-19 because there are so many people in the room at one time. These employees are not currently in a position to care for individuals due to being on reassignment or light duty due to an injury or medical condition and I feel as though there is no need for them to be sitting together in a room filing papers all day while there is a pandemic going on and the risk of spreading Covid-19 is so great. Also, there are employees who have tested positive for Covid-19 and had contact with everyone in the room before finding out they were positive, which is a risk to everyone's health and safety and not conducive to the containing the spread of Covid-19. There is a stay at home advisory going on currently and I feel that if the employee is not able to do their job due to reassignment or light duty, they should be allowed to stay at home. Hazard Location: Unit 2-neighborhood house 36-1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts Unit 3 neighborhood house 55-1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts
