Armed guards do not wear masks (Covid) even when in a shared space such as the lobby. There are approximately 20 Lume employees, at this location, who have regular and continued interaction with these security guards. All other employees and customers are required to wear masks to help prevent the spread of Covid. Employees also complete a daily symptom checker and are not allowed to work if they have symptoms or have had close contact with Covid positive individuals. It is unsure if the guards also engage in this daily requirement. These guards spend the majority of their day in about 300 square feet (lobby) with numerous employees. Per discussion with Human Resources, the guards are supposed to wear a mask when they are within 6 feet of employees. They do not. When an employee enters the space the guards lift their mask to their mouth and nose until the employee leaves the area.
