1. Nursing home is not taking the proper Covid precautions in order to prevent patients and staff from possible exposure or infection. - The nursing home does not have the proper staff to care for the patients. On November 8, 2020 there were only 2 CNA's caring for over 25+ patients. There was only one nurse assigned to all these patients. Many of these patients did not receive their morning medicines and were only given afternoon medicines. Many of the coherent patients complained about this. Covid infected patients have skyrocketed from two patients to over 60 positive within two weeks time. The facility is allowing Covid positive staff to work in the red zone along with negative Covid staff. This is putting the Negative Covid staff at risk. These positive staff members are working with active symptoms in which it is infecting more staff members and patients. The administrator has cut housekeeping hours which has cut the staff who are suppose to keep the facility clean. The RED ZONE is filthy. There is contaminated trash and linen left in the hallways. The floors are not being mopped or disinfected. The administration staff unzips the Covid bag to talk to staff on other units. There are multiple instances where there are no available PPE equipment for staff especially masks and gowns. Temperatures are supposed to be checked before staff can enter the facility. This is not being done. On a recent occasion management left a note on the door saying that they are aware that thermometer is not working but still come into the building. They are killing the patients and many of the staff is infected. There are two patients to a room and they have been moving one of the patients out of the red zone before they retest or quarantine is up in order to make room for other patients from the sister facilities. They constantly remind staff that they get more money if they accept Covid positive patients which we can get bonuses or raises later on. They do not keep the redzone and yellow zones separated. They are transporting patients without masks. They are putting positive Covid patients in rooms with other patients who are not positive. There is no disinfecting process at all. The hazard is ongoing and all patients and staff are exposed.
