Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Aegis Treatment Center, 5225 Telegraph Rd., VENTURA, CA, 93003, USA

5 years ago business

5225 Telegraph Road, Ventura, 93003 California, United States

Emailed complaint: Good afternoon, I am currently employed with Aegis Treatment center Ventura CA, our corporate office has continually put health care personal and staff at risk. The reason for my reaching out to you today is a new change they have implemented as of today. They are now requiring nurses (myself included) to pick a trash can up and hold it to the dispensing window so that patients can give us back their used take home bottles which were once filled with methadone. They have drank out of these bottles and have handled them at home. They now expect us to keep that trash can next to us as we work in our 4x6 room without proper air ventilation. We are also required to take back bottles from COVID-19 positive patients from outside the clinic and bring them back into the clinic to put in our trash can next to our work space. Corporate has sent strangers into our dosing room to watch us dose, these people have been traveling throughout this pandemic and refuse to stop touching their mask as they talk to us (in our 4x6 room). These people wear their masks incorrectly, ie. under their nose or chin, or moving them around on their face. I feel extremely unsafe in my work place, and corporate has been the cause of it.
