Regulatory Report

9255 Coverdale Road, Fort Wayne, 46809 Indiana, United States

Stage 2 of the Governor's order says office workers are to work from home if possible. It also says office workers are to be screened daily. Franklin Electric is REQUIRING all office workers (hundreds) to return to work. Almost all of them have the capabilities needed to work from home. In fact, all employees have been ordered to attend meetings via video conference from their desk which demonstrates the capability to work remotely. Employees have been working remotely prior to Stage 2.In addition, employees are told to screen themselves. Employees can have their temperature take at their option. That does not protect me from an ill employee that doesn't screen. Employees are being forced to put their health at risk when they could continue to do their jobs remotely. Employees have no further recourse without IOSHA intervention.
