1. Employees are exposed to health hazards associated with COVID-19 in the surgery center. It was reported personal protective equipment (PPE) such as, respiratory protection, is not provided or required to be worn to protect employees from exposure to COVID-19 when patients are extubated in post op. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.134 and/or Section 5(a)1 of the OSH Act. 2. Employees are exposed to health hazards associated with COVID-19. It was reported that employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and employees who have been in contact with that employee are not provided with exposure information in accordance with CDC guidelines.
