Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, S&S Lawn Care and Snow Removal, 3906 Grand River Ave, GRAND RAPIDS, MI, 49525, USA

5 years ago business

3906 Grand River Drive Northeast, Grand Rapids, 49525 Michigan, United States

Our company has no safety protocols in place, for Covid-19. We are required to bring our own masks, hand sanitizer, etc. There has been no preventative measures, or a contingency plan for if anyone gets sick, which is why I need to make you aware of the hazardous conditions we are being forced to work in, and the current danger we are being put in, due to Covid-19 exposure from an employee I work in very close proximity to. When we went back to work (after lockdown), PII supplied us with shop towels, that were supposed to be worn as masks but were too small to tie around our heads/face. There are no sanitation practices, or guidelines, in place. The only type of cleanser we have been given to use is Windex and tough towels, neither of which are a disinfectant, nor have we been using/cleaning our work trucks, equipment, etc. There have been no temperature checks required, no one has been required to wear masks in the work trucks (they are pick-up trucks, and we ride with 3 people at a time), and ZERO accountability when someone gets sick. They have been allowed to come to work, sick, with no requirement of testing, or even a doctor's appointment. Which brings me to the main reason for this complaint. There is a woman I work with (she is on my crew, and we ride in the same truck), who recently had been exposed to Covid. A child living in her home was sent home about 2 weeks ago, because the bus driver tested positive. The woman was not required to get a test done, nor was the child tested. She has been working every day, for the past two weeks, since this incident occurred. She is not wearing a mask and is now (2 weeks later) exhibiting symptoms of the Coronavirus. She came in on Monday, 10/12/20, stating that she only had a "head cold" but has not seen a doctor, not taken a Covid test, and is not protecting herself or others by wearing a mask.
