The employer is failing to follow protocols recommended and mandated to keep all employees safe during this pandemic. People are present with symptoms and are being allowed to stay. Two weeks ago, a manager was present with symptoms and was also walking around taking temperatures of all workers. A couple days later, the employees found out that this manager tested positive for COVID-19. He was off work for eight days and is now back at work today. The management staff did not notify the employees that this manager had tested positive (even though he exposed himself, with symptoms, to the entire warehouse as he took temperatures). A few of the employees found out through conversations with a couple supervisors. This is not the first time this has happened. Other employees have tested positive for the virus, and the rest of the workers were not officially notified. The employees seem to be just spreading the virus around to each other with no official action from the company. The company continues to operate without any deep cleaning or sanitizing efforts; allowing employees to work with obvious symptoms and/or not feeling well; waiting until employees are already in the warehouse at their work stations before checking temperatures; not informing all employees of positive cases of the virus; and overall not maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-08-17
