The Illinois Department of Revenue's labor Relations Manager initiated an Internal Affairs investigation. The Chief of Internal Affairs scheduled in-person interviews at the JRTC and required several employees who were working from home to attend the in-person interviews. AFSCME Local 2467 previously filed a class-action grievance on in-person interviews since previous interviews prior to the COVID-19 pandemic were conducted over the phone via teleconference without the need for in-person interviews. In-person interviews took place August 21, 2020 and October 6, 2020. The tone and line of questioning made the complainant feel uncomfortable for having reported to management that another employee was concerned they had been exposed to COVID-19 by a taxpayer who refused to wear a mask at their desk.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2020-10-06
