T8 CCR 3203(a)(4) The employer may have failed to evaluate the hazards by not following CDC guidelines amidst the COVID-19 pandemic; those guidelines are outlined on the www.dir.ca.gov and www.osha.gov websites. Alleged Hazards: The warehouses uses fans to help keep employees cool however electrical cords run all over the floor causing a trip hazard. Tubes that carry plastic at high speed are within easy reach of employees and the tubes are hot. Employees have burned themselves. No warning signs. Conveyer and table were the product ends up have low roof with sharp edges and employees cut themselves all the time. To reset conveyor employees must crawl under conveyor where there are nails and other sharp hazards sticking out. There are no designated walking or forklift driving areas in the warehouse. Temperatures are taken prior to work and sometimes they let employees work even if the thermometer shows fever.
