Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Walmart Supercenter, 9212 North Colton Street, Spokane, Washington 99218, USA

5 years ago business

9212 North Colton Street, Spokane, 99218 Washington, United States

I read a Walmart memo that stated "all manned registers should have sanitizing spray." They have not done this. Their idea behind this is....to keep out of reach of children.
Associates with asthma and other high risk persons are being forced to wear masks, or they can take a two week unpaid leave. People on leave are being told that although their job "may" be protected, their position may not. They have hired new workers in an "expedited process" and may have put associates at risk by not properly screening them.
Associates, trained to be in the automotive department, are now being used to "deep clean" the store. I am almost positive that associates like this are having to clean the store with little procedures in place.
It is impossible to maintain social distancing even with restricted amounts of people entering. They are also failing to adequately screen workers, by telling them (if they have a low grade fever),,,,,to "go outside and wait a minute."
They have been denied access to readily available sanitizing spray. They should follow guidelines recommended by the CDC and place the spray at every manned register immediately, in accordance with their own memo.
The sneeze guards that have been put in place are a joke. They are only about 2.5 feet wide and don't cover the sides where customers stand.
