LENEXA, KS (KCTV) -- A local Chick-fil-A has had to close its doors after 10 cases of COVID-19 were tied to one location. During a meeting on Thursday, the Johnson County Board of Commissioners mentioned at least 10 cases are tied to a Chick-fil-A location in Lenexa. The restaurant's corporate site says the location at 15919 W. 87th Street Parkway is closed due to "COVID-19 Related Issues." No word on how long the restaurant will have to be closed before reopening the location again.

Dear Employer:

On June 10, 2020, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) received a notification alleged workplace hazards(s) at your worksite concerning employees testing positive for Coronavirus.

The employer has had a confirmed COVID-19 cases at their Kansas facility. Employees are not protected from health hazards associated with the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Employees are exposed in that the employer has not implemented all feasible engineering and administrative controls as outlined in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/organizations/businesses-employers.html , and OSHA?s publication #3990-03 2020, Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19, www.osha.gov/Publications/OSHA3990.pdf.

Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act.
