Coronavirus three main symptoms of Covid 19 now for two weeks, Scotland, UK

Scotland, United Kingdom
Been showing the three main symptoms of Covid 19 now for two weeks (cough consistent for this time, fever and shortness of breath more recently) and called 111 yesterday afternoon, received a call from a GP who sounded nervous and unsure who prescribed general antibiotics. Around midnight things got pretty unbearable and I was struggling more with my breathing, and called 111 again. Now currently awaiting a call back within 4 hours from a GP. The NHS are massively overworked and I have no end of appreciation for them and the work they do. But I don’t feel that we have a handle on this at all, if showing all symptoms doesn’t merit a test how are we supposed to stand a chance? There a literally teenagers being tested positive, 21 year old girl died from it with no prior health concerns?! I have a history of asthma, it hasn’t affected me in a number of years but it is still there. I feel like the way we are handling things right now is only going to kill more people - I don’t understand how a GP hears these symptoms and doesn’t think a test is required.
