Cause unknown, but sound that accompanied the outage was loud, but not a pop or burst. It was a long, low grinding sound that lasted for a few seconds. The appliances and lights all went out for another few seconds before they came back on. We do not know if other homes in the neighborhood experienced this as most of the homes have their lights out at this time, anyway. We happened to be up. K. Harrigan
