1. Store has a "mask required" policy for employees and customers. No one in the store (salaried management included) is supposed to say anything to customers not wearing masks. There are just signs posted to make it look the the company cares. Customers are aware of this

and frequently come in not wearing masks, which is a hazard to the employees who are required to still serve them, per management. 2. It is impossible for employees working on the front end specifically (self checkout and bagging especially) to socially distance from customers, many of whom do not wear masks because there is no enforcement. Cashiers have plexiglass barriers, which helps some, but baggers are still exposed to the customers, who often will get very close to them in an effort to "help." Self checkout workers are required to go to the machine to help the customers and the customers often do not move from in front of the screen, even when asked, creating extreme risks for the workers. 3. It is impossible for customers to socially distance in the long checkout lines for the most part. The company has only continued to cut hours, knowing that less cashiers available causes customers to stand in line closely together or go to a self checkout, where it is not possible to socially distance. Aisles are full of PickUp shoppers and customers and employees are not able to safely keep distanced. Store capacity is limited to half capacity, which may be almost 1000 people, which obviously does not leave room for adequate social distancing nor does it take into account where the customers are at in the store. 4. Kroger had given extra hours in April for cleaning and cashiers to wash hands, but those hours were gone by May or June. Bathrooms are not frequently cleaned, used masks and gloves end up on the ground, and cashiers are only able to wash hands on breaks and lunches now. 5. PPE is provided by Kroger, but gloves in the correct sizes are nearly impossible for the entire store to have. 6. Customers are very aggressive often about the other customers who are not wearing masks. They will yell and scream and sometimes get to a point where I am fearful of what they might do. Management will not always come speak to these people and we no longer have police officers in our store for safety because the company no longer wants to spend the money at this location. 7. An employee tested positive for Covid-19 and the company did not tell associates who may have come in contact with this person. Workers from the department may have known, but any employee could have come in contact with this person at the timeclock or breakroom and no one was told there even was a positive case. There was also no additional cleaning done as a result. 8. Sick employees and employees who have been exposed to Covid-19 are often encouraged to come to work due to the few hours the store has to schedule people.
