Thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers were left in the dark on Monday, from the Santa Cruz Mountains to South Monterey County.

The latest number of outages in Monterey County as of 12:45 pm:
Rockwood-134 No power supply
The latest number of Santa Cruz County outages as of 12:45 pm:
Scotts Valley-2,558 without electricity.
Loch Lomond-430 No power supply.
Bold Leak-1,461 without power.
Freedom-Powerless 459

The cause of the Monday outage is still under investigation by PG & E.
