'--- OSHA cplt items (as of 4-13 dt of cplt) --- complainant has concerns about coronavirus exposure to federal employees and contractor employees working in the Federal Immigration Court located at 201 Varick Street 5th and 11th floors, New York NY where court remains open at this time with up to 25 hearings per day; 3 courtrooms on 11fl and 7 courtrms on 5th floor; --- court personnel (contractor and federal) have had coronavirus; --- employer is not having employees and other persons keep 6 ft distancing in the workplace (courtrooms and other court offices); cplnnt says 6 ft distance is impossible in the courtrooms on 11fl; --- employer has not provided coronavirus PPE personal protective equipment (gloves/ masks) to federal and contractor employees; only provides disinfectant for courtrooms and public; contractor company has not provided PPE either; --- some employees bring their own masks and wear them but other court personnel do not wear masks. (note; re use of masks: the CDC guidance now as of last week has changed to now advise the use of "face covering" to reduce spread of Covid from person wearing the mask (CDC guidance websites are in this letter further down); face coverings are not to be confused with N95 respirators which CDC has always required for healthcare workers and other persons in high risk working conditions) (call or email OSHA compliance officer (below) if you have questions on masks/ PPE)
