Located at Tidewater Tech Trades, the employer is not implementing precautions to protect employees from contracting and spreading the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace, in that, 1. Employees are not notified when there has been a confirmed COVID-10 positive case in the school. 2. Employees who have had close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or greater) with a person with a confirmed case of positive are not notified of exposure. 3. Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting is not being conducted throughout the entire building when there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school. 4. When there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school, the school is not shut down. Certain departments are required to stay open. 5. Social distancing cannot be practiced with students in some instances. 6. Employees do not feel they can approach management with safety and health concerns without fear of discrimination and retaliation. 7. Educators are not allowed to enforce the face covering requirement with student. There is no disciplinary actions for students who refuse to wear face covering over nose and mouth.
