Alliant Energy has reported on their Outage Map that as early as 7:30 pm, thousands of customers were without power in the Westdale area. As of 8:20 pm, there were 3,632 customers reported on their Outage Map with no power.

A power outage was affecting Orfordville residents Saturday, Dec 16 before 5:30 a.m. after a power-line fire was reported. According to Alliant Energy, the fire originated in a transformer. Power was already restored to the area.
