The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued a recall for Dervivea Metal Jewellery sold on Amazon due to a serious chemical risk as the cadmium content was found to be greater than the maximum permissible limit in both the metal ring and metal earrings. The products, which include a metal ring and sword-shaped metal earrings, were distributed online and have been removed from the marketplace. The issue was identified by Local Authority Trading Standards, leading to the recall announcement on June 5, 2025. The products do not comply with the REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008.The affected items are:
- Branded as Dervivea
- Include a silver-colored metal ring (ASIN B0CT21SWWY) and silver-colored sword-shaped metal earrings (ASIN B0DHV43HC3).
- These products, originating from China
- Contain cadmium levels exceeding the permissible limit, posing health risks.
