As of around 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, PSEG Long Island reported 371 outages, with 243 in Suffolk County and 128 in Nassau County. Widespread wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph are being reported with gusts up to 45 mph.

A power outage was reported in Riverhead Friday afternoon after a bus crash. According to Riverhead police, the incident took place at 3:07 p.m. at the intersection of Court Street and Griffing Avenue. The bus then hit a utility pole and a building.

Hundreds of Long Island residents were left in the dark overnight as a Nor’easter rolled through the region dropping upwards of six inches of rain and wind gusts approaching 60 mph.

In Suffolk, the bulk of the outages were reported in Riverhead (102), followed by Brookhaven (90), East Hampton (54), Southampton (27), and Southold (five).

Outages were also reported in Huntington and Islip.

In Nassau, outages were being reported in Hempstead (74), North Hempstead (10), and Oyster Bay (less than five).
