The Families First Coronavirus Response Act is an example of pay benefits for employees if they are suspected or presumed Covid-19 positive. 7 When telework would be possible, for some administrative employees for example, these employees are not allowed to telework in order to reduce the number of employees in the workplace. 8 The employer does not notify the employees when an employee is presumed to be positive, or tests positive, for Covid-19. The employer according to CDC guidelines should identify the work areas and close contacts the presumed or positive person had with other employees, and notify those employees of the exposure.
