Strong winds from the northwest this afternoon knocked out power to several hundred Cloverland Electric customers in Mackinac and Chippewa counties. As of 6:30 p.m. over 600 customers still had no power.

According to the Consumers Energy Outage Map, over 46,000 Michiganders lost power during Friday’s strong wind gusts. The Lansing area retained most of its power, but Mid-Michigan customers just north of Battle Creek and Jackson saw several ourages.
