their guidelines they enacted in May of 2020, nor have they updated or provided updates of the guidelines as the CDC, the State of Michigan, and the local health department recommends. 4. Brownstown Township has a policy if an employee is exposed or sick with Covid 19 and have already used their 80 hours of FFCRA provided, they must use your available sick & vacation pay. Due to this policy, it is rumored that employees state that they will not inform the employer of having symptoms of Covid or if they have had close contact with others who have tested positive for Covid because they cannot afford to be out of work without pay or do not want their personal time off taken away from them. Employees cannot return to work even after they receive a negative test and have to stay off to quarantine using personal time. 5. There are 14 employees in my Water/Sewer Maintenance Department, and approximately 150 employees within the Municipality. Workers have been observed in the other departments not wearing face coverings and not maintaining 6 feet distance as required.
