Residents are advised to boil water due to an order in effect in Center Street and East Railroad Street between Howe Street and Johnson Street in Jacksonville. It was put into place Monday, according to Jacksonville Municipal Utilities.

Portions of Jacksonville’s north and west sides this morning are without power. Power outages began getting reported at approximately 4:30 this morning. Ameren-Illinois representatives have not determined the cause of the outages.
