A single vehicle crash has caused a power outage in the area of Anderson Street and Montgomery Street Saturday evening. Savannah Police say the vehicle struck power poles and damaged a building, but there are no serious injuries. According to a Georgia Power outage map, 263 customers... are without power. Estimated restoration time is 9:00 p.m.

As Hurricane Ian moves past our area, power outages are being reported in both Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry. As of 8:15 p.m., there are about 1,600 outages on Wilmington Island, according to Georgia Power. Another 2,000 have been reported in Georgetown, about 200 elsewhere in Savannah... and sporadic outages elsewhere. Update 4:40 a.m.: Dominion Energy is reporting nearly 1,000 outages in Beaufort County. Georgia Power says more than 9,000 people in the area are without power. update: 6:15 a.m. Currently, Georgia Power reports about 200 outages in Savannah, with other sporadic outages stretching all the way to Statesboro.

Several thousands of people are without power after a storm moved through Coastal Georgia Thursday afternoon. According to Georgia Power, more than 4,200 outages are reported just on Tybee Island, with about 2,000 more scattered throughout Savannah, Garden City, Pooler and Thunderbolt.

1. The company does not have a COVID-19 plan. 2. Employees are not required to wear face coverings when working around other employees or serving customers. 3. The company does not screen employees before entering the workplace. 4. Management requires employees to come to work despite testing... positive or showing signs and symptoms of COVID-19. 5. The company does not require the practice of social distancing, by employees, when applicable.

1. The employer is not following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control, such as allowing employees exiting the isolation unit while still wearing their PPE and not cleaning/sanitizing the unit properly.

1.) The employer is not requiring restaurant/bar staff to wear face coverings while on duty. 2.) The employer is allowing staff to work after they have tested positive for COVID-19. 3.) The employer is not informing non-infected staff when other staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.... There have been (5) infected employees with-in the last 30 days at this location. 4.) The employer is not conducting contact tracing to determine if staff is being infected at work. 5.) The employer is not mandating sanitation or proper cleaning to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

1. Respiratory protection is not provided to employees cutting and grinding on concrete components (e.g. bridge pilings), thus exposing employees to respiratory hazards. Location: Yard Area 2. Hand protection is not provided to employees handing liquid concrete, thus exposing employees to skin irritation hazards. Location: Yard Area... 3. Hearing protection is not provided to employees working around high-noise producing machinery (e.g. concrete pourers), thus exposing employees to noise hazards. Location: Yard Area 4. There are pieces of strap metal with sharp edges scattered across the ground, thus exposing employees to laceration injuries. Location: Yard Area 5. Appropriate eye protection is not provided to employees conducting oxygen/propylene torch cutting operations on steel braided cables, thus exposing employees to optical radiation hazards. Location: Yard Area and Welding Department 6. There are approximately eight (8) oxygen and propylene gas cylinders that have damaged and corroded gas cylinder pressure regulators, thus exposing employees to a fire hazard.
