The Heatherwood Drive subdivision is scheduled for a planned power outage on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The planned outage is directly related to the Heatherwood Drive Bridge Replacement Project funded under the Federal Local Bridge Program.

The overnight rain and gusty winds caused flooding and thousands of power outages in Connecticut. At 5 a.m., there were nearly 9,000 Eversource outages in Connecticut with the bulk of them in Branford, Greenwich, Madison, Stamford and Westport

With the worst of the storm yet to hit, 1,789 of Eversource’s 1,287,274 customers in Connecticut were reporting outages as of 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Outages were also reported in Avon, Berlin, Cheshire, Chester, Clinton, Darien, East Haddam, Killingly, Ledyard, Lyme, Manchester, Monroe, Naugatuck, New Canaan, New Hartford, Newington, Norwalk, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Redding, Scotland, Southbury, Waterford, Woodbury.
