A power outage has left thousands without power in the Grand Valley. According to Xcel Energy, a power outage began today at 4:34 p.m., affecting 2,684 customers in Palisade, Clifton, and Grand Junction. Xcel expects to restore the outage by 6 p.m. today.

I-70B and North Avenue when he crashed into a tow-truck carrying a car. The crash caused the tow-truck to leave the road where it collided with a utility pole, destroying it in the process. The roadway was then closed for about four hours while Xcel Energy repaired its damaged utility pole, said officials.

New this morning, Xcel Energy has reported an outage near Riverside Parkway from Broadway to 25 Road and Highway 6 and 50. It started at 4:15 a.m. As of 5:50 a.m Xcel Energy said power has been restored to all areas in Grand Junction.
