On August 21st, a very large power outage affected nearly 10,000 Avista customers in Spokane. According to Avista's outage map, customers were impacted on the South Hill, the South Perry District, East Central, and the University District. According to the outage map, the cause of one outage near Gonzaga University and Mission Park was an equipment failure.
