At one point more than 11,000 OG&E customers are without power across Oklahoma as tornadic weather impacts the state. Seminole County has the most outages, and since the town had a direct hit the power may take longer to restore. Hughes County, which neighbors Seminole, also experienced outages as did Oklahoma County.

As an overnight storm system moved across Oklahoma early Thursday morning, many OG&E customers are now experiencing power outages. In Oklahoma County, there are currently around 1,615 power outages with an expected restoration time unknown.

Strong storms Wednesday and heavy rains Thursday have caused thousands to lose their electricity across the state. Earlsboro had a tornado Wednesday, and currently has 264 customers without power.

More than 5,000 customers were still without power in the Seminole service area for Oklahoma Gas & Electric as of Thursday morning. Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, debris was seen scattered throughout the city of Seminole and several downtown buildings had been completely destroyed.
